Michael Rye - Principal Partner

Michael has been in the estate agency industry for over 18 years. He has a wide spanning experience of selling property in both the UK and on an international level. Michael is also local to Southampton and lives in Butlocks Heath, Netley Abbey. A keen golfer and sailor, he has a Commercial Yacht Masters certificate and is a qualified Yacht Broker.

He is married to Angela and they have a young son called Louis and a cocker spaniel called Beamish.

Paul Thurman - Principal Partner

Paul has been in the industry since leaving school and always dreamed of owning his own estate agency. Meeting his now business partner Michael Rye, allowed Paul’s dream to become a reality, with the creation of Thurman Rye. Paul is passionate about his business and strives for professional perfectionism.

Paul was born and bred in Hamble and now lives Southampton’s city centre. He is a keen golfer, fisherman and enjoys working out in the gym. He also likes to socialise with friends and can often be found in bustling Oxford Street.

Phil Lovell - Branch Manager

Phil has been a successful estate agent for over 15 years in and around the Southampton area and has recently joined Thurman Rye as their branch manager.

He was born and raised in Fair Oak, and now lives in Park Gate with his long-term partner Anita and their daughter Kiera. Phil is the founder and lead singer of Southampton group, Dodger. He is also an accomplished golfer.

Kelly Crosby - Administrator

Kelly joined the Oxford Street office as their Branch Administrator. Kelly lives in Bittern and has two Children, Ashton and Jacob. Kelly enjoys spending time with her family and socialising with friends. When time permits she is a keen gardener.

Will Sanders - Sales negotiator

Will has recently joined the team at the Oxford Street branch as a Sales Negotiator. Will has a desire to succeed and is keen to make a success of his chosen career. He is also a keen musician and has taught guitar at many levels.

Ruth has spent nearly ten years in estate agency – born and raised in Southampton, Ruth has an intimate knowledge of the area and now lives in the city centre. Ruth enjoys traveling and has visited foreign countries such as South Africa, Hong Kong and New Zealand. Ruth also enjoys eating out and socialising with friends.

Carla has been with Thurman Rye for two years, and is ambitious as sales negotiator. Carla was born and raised in Southampton and now lives in Winchester. Outside work, Carla enjoys going to the gym.

Brett Draper - Branch Manager

Brett has worked for corporate estate agencies in the region for many years, giving him a wide and varied experience of the industry, combined with a strong local knowledge of Thurman Rye’s area. His goal as branch manager is to offer a professional, tailor made service to Thurman Rye’s clients.

Brett is married to Marie, who has recently given birth to their first child, a beautiful baby girl Phoebe. He has lived in Hedge End for 31 years and enjoys spending time with friends, family and going out socially together.

Billy Harrow - Senior Negotiator

When it comes to work, Billy has a drive for perfection and leaves no stone unturned! He has a thirst for success and strives to ensure all of Thurman Rye’s clients receive a first class service.

Billy lives with his partner of 6 years and their five year old son, Bradley. Having lived in Southampton for most of his life, Billy has developed an intimate knowledge of the area and its history. At weekends, Billy and his family enjoy visiting the Victoria Country Park and can also be found on the golf course or sailing.

Paula Barnes - Sales Negotiator

Paula relishes her job as sales negotiator. She has enormous enthusiasm and passion for the industry and Thurman Rye and this makes her a huge asset to the team.

She lives locally in Netley Abbey, and is deeply fond of the area. Paula lives with her husband Chris and has four children and three step children.

Penny moore - Branch Administrator

Penny was born and raised in Southampton and has worked for Thurman Rye for just over two years. She currently lives in the village of Hamble with her husband John and three daughters; Isabella who is four and twins Gabrielle & Sophie who are three. In her spare time, Penny loves to catch up with friends, shop, and is also known to enjoy the odd spot of home decoration.

Other passions include eating out locally and perhaps the odd glass of wine!
